The unique homestead Klinec is located in picturesque Brda region, a perfect place to taste world's best wines and enjoy delicious gourmet specialties and beautiful scenery!
The unique Klinec homestead is expecting you on the very west part of Slovenia called Goriška Brda. It is situated in Medana, a part of Goriška Brda, having a reputation for top wine producing area.
At Klinec Homestead they prepare traditional dishes from the Brda region using grandmother's old time-honores recipes (as minestrone, salami, white polenta, prosciuttoin red wine etc.).
All the dishes are served ont he sunny terrace with a wonderful view of the Medana vineyards. During the winter you will be able to enjoy the dishes in a nice dining room close to the traditional Brda fireplace.
However wine is a great reason to come to Klinec homestead. They have been growing wine since 1918 and today they cultivate 5 hectars while respecting the rules of biodynamic farming. Therefor Klinec wines are known of unique individuality and very high quality. A part of their wine cellar is dedicated to vintage wines of exceptional qualities from their best crops.
The Goriška Brda region in Slovenia's far west is considered one of the most charming and scenic regions of the country. The gently rolling hills, covered in vineyards, are charmingly dotted with picturesque villages and small churches.
During this break you will be able to explore the neighbouring hills and villages on foot or by bicycle or even by horseback.
The homestead is located on the top of Medana which offers a great view from the terrace.

FROM LJUBLJANA: From Ljubljana take the A1 motorway towards Koper and take the exit towards Nova Gorica, Razdrto. Later on follow the road H4. You will cross the boarder with Italy and then after following the road 402 you will cross the boarder with Slovenia again and come to Medana.

Homestead has two double and one triple room with bathroom. There are also rooms available in a newly furnished building app. 500 m away from the homestead. All the rooms are furnished in the traditional style so they will make you feel like Brda have always been your home.
