Welcome to Prlekija! This break will take you to the beautiful landscape, neverending vineyards, excellent food, wine and much more. Prlekija is full of wonderful contrasts and a hospitable mother of inhabitants who are famous for their dialect and attachment to their home.

Tourist farm Puklavec, run by a family Puklavec, is situated in the north-eastern part of Slovenia in Miklavž pri Ormožu. The farm is specialised in wine making so excellent wines which received many awards will also be an important part of this break (Chardonay, Sauvignon, Muskat and Sipon). Ljutomer Ormož vineyards stand proud and luxuriant between the Mura and Drava rivers, very close to the Croatian border. It is not only wine they are famous for but also the splendour of the countryside, which is thought to be one of the most beautiful in the world. The predecessor of today’s vine were grown here during the Tertiary period, however the first quality vine was brought by the Romans.

Along with quality wine the Puklavec farm offers you home made food as well. Their culinary offer encompasses a wide range of dishes. A speciality of their kitchen is home bread turkey, roasted in baker’s oven or St Martin’s goose made according to their own recipe.  Vegetarians will not leave the table hungry either. Excellent sweets are also available even for the most demanding gourmets.
